Spring Cleaning....or Spring Decorating?

I'll take the second option any day of the week!

We hope these helpful tips will give you some inspiration moving into the spring season!!!

1. Pull furniture away from the walls to give the illusion of a bigger room. According to thespruce.com, pushing furniture up against the walls "can make the area in the middle feel cavernous."

2. Any light or neutral-colored paint makes a room feel big and bright. White paint is not your only option.

According to camillestyles.com, 'Greige' is back and hotter...or lighter...than ever! It's ability to act as a chameleon allows it to take on whatever other colors you choose to pair with it.

3. Allow natural light to flow through the room. Also, letting light bounce off mirrors makes a living space appear larger. I LOVE a mirror in any room, especially those with less natural light than you'd like to have. Amazon and Hobby Lobby have a ton of great options available!

4. Use the walls wisely. Open shelving or one large piece of artwork creates an illusion of a bigger room. A quick search on Google will give you a plethora of ideas for open shelving!

5. Don't just buy small furniture. Instead, add one or two larger pieces to the room. Too many pieces of small furniture can make your space look and feel too cluttered. Having a large piece (like a couch), two smaller chairs and add an ottoman for additional seating can be just the right medium.
